About Us | Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Atlanta, Inc.

About Us

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Atlanta partners with other local organizations to address the many needs of the people of North Georgia. Our mission, as a ministry rooted in the Gospel, is to move people facing adversity to wholeness and self-sufficiency.

Our strategy is to direct our resources at specific areas of need where we can offer accredited, professional services. We partner with other community organizations and agencies to address needs such as temporary housing, utility assistance and food, but Catholic Charities efforts concentrate on addressing skills and support that can bring long-term stability to those in crisis. This includes maintaining stable housing, adequate employment and thriving, well-functioning families.

Our services include awareness and advocacy opportunities which facilitate the “concrete practice” of love of God and neighbor, building an understanding that each person has a role in making our community and our world a place where every person is respected, treated with dignity and fairness, and enabled to thrive.
