Virtual 5K Run
2021 Event Information:
- Registration: $30
(Register by January 24th to ensure you receive your T-Shirt in time)
- Student Registration Discount: $15
(Discount code: STUDENT)
How It Works:
Participants have the option to either complete the run in one session, as a usual timed 5K would occur, or split the distance up into several days to add up to the 5K challenge. Through the Active website that participants register on, they will be able to input their time & distance, add photos (or video), and be added to the Racer database so friends can search to see how well they are doing.
Thank You To Our Sponsors
HISTORY OF SCOTT’S RUN
Scott’s Run began in honor of Scott Starratt, a Marietta native, and officer of the INS (now called Immigration and Customs Enforcement). He stood out among his peers for his kindness and compassion for foreign children who ended up in detention. Scott died in an automobile accident in 2001, and his colleagues established this annual event with Catholic Charities Atlanta to support individuals and families in need.
All race proceeds go directly to benefit Catholic Charities Atlanta Immigration Legal Services Program.
ABOUT CCA’S IMMIGRATION LEGAL SERVICES

A multi-lingual staff specializing in immigration law provides comprehensive immigration legal services to help eligible individuals and families obtain their permanent legal status, assist clients with the naturalization process, and provide legal representation during deportation proceedings. CCA specializes in assisting survivors of domestic violence, abandoned or neglected foreign children, detained clients, and victims of trafficking and crimes.
