Monifa Holman, MSW, is the Senior Director of Catholic Charities Atlanta’s Family Stabilization Program. Monifa joined the Catholic Charities Atlanta team on March 9, 2016 with 20 years of experience working with people in need in the community. For more than 7 years, she worked as the Operations Manager at the Housing Authority of DeKalb County where she was responsible for leading the development and implementation of sustainable social service programming for seniors and families. For the past year she has also been providing home and community based health counseling for families in Northwest Georgia.
In her role here, Monifa oversees the many facets of the Family Stabilization Program including: information and referral services, English language/civics instruction, housing counseling, mental health counseling, in-home parenting education, and case management focusing on veterans and low-income families. Monifa has a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Connecticut and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Before moving to Georgia, Monifa developed and implemented programs for low and moderate-income families in Hartford, Connecticut.
