Catholic Charities Atlanta receives a 3-year grant to support Refugee Youth Services

ATLANTA, GA (July 2023)-Catholic Charities Atlanta (CCA) announces the expansion of
services within their Refugee Youth Services programs. The current myriad of refugee
programming supports families as they integrate into their new communities and become self-
sufficient. Youth services include an elementary-based After-School Program and a Mentoring
Program for children and young adults. Additionally, CCA provides wraparound support to their
families to address challenges and grow resilience. These two programs provide a stairway for
children who enter the U.S. at a young age to develop critical skills, graduate high school, and go
on to realize their dreams as adults.

CCA is able to add three minibuses to its fleet to improve children’s access to programming as
well as provide opportunities to that will provide transportation assistance to give youths
opportunities to get to and from activities such as college visits, water safety classes, cultural
experiences, and mentoring outings.

The final portion of the grant will add capacity through CCA’s database, adjusting workflows
and processes, and improving functionality and report capability. This will maximize the amount
of time staff can spend with the children, but also pull-out meaningful data that can be better
utilized.
